Upcoming Georgia tax sales
Six upcoming Georgia county tax sales are on our calendar, from Tuesday, November 3 to December 1, 2026: six redeemable-deed sales, in five counties.
Each date was read on the county's own page, or the auction platform it links to; every row links to that source and says when we checked it. Confirm there before you register — dates move and lists shrink as owners pay.
Georgia rules in brief
Georgia sells the property itself at a sheriff's or tax commissioner's sale (O.C.G.A. § 48-4-1), and the buyer receives a tax deed that stays defeasible while the right of redemption lasts. The owner or anyone with an interest can redeem within 12 months, and afterwards until the buyer forecloses the right with a barment notice under § 48-4-45, by paying the full bid plus taxes the buyer paid and a premium of 20% for the first year or fraction of a year and 10% for each year after (§ 48-4-42). Overbids become excess funds payable to the owner and lienholders (§ 48-4-5).
The statute, how bidding works and the mistakes that cost new buyers money are in the Georgia guide.

Before your first Georgia sale
Redeemable-deed sales — Georgia: the bidder gets a deed, but the former owner can buy the property back within the state's redemption period by paying the bid plus a statutory premium or interest — so the winning bidder may end up with that return instead of the property.
Get the final list the week of the sale, register before the county's cut-off, and check the payment form it accepts. Then research the property itself: how to research a property before a tax sale.
