Each date was read on the county's own page, or the auction platform it links to; every row links to that source and says when we checked it. Confirm there before you register — dates move and lists shrink as owners pay.
Washington rules in brief
Washington sells no lien certificates: three years after taxes go delinquent the county treasurer forecloses in superior court and auctions the property itself, with a minimum bid equal to the taxes, interest and costs (RCW 84.64.050, 84.64.080). The owner can redeem until the close of business the day before the sale; after it, the buyer gets a treasurer's tax deed and there is no redemption, except that a minor or a person adjudicated legally incompetent can redeem within three years by repaying the price with interest and the value of good-faith improvements (RCW 84.64.070). Anything bid above the minimum is held for the owner of record for three years.

- Whatcom County (sale Dec 1): Bidder deposit deadline Nov 25, 2026 at 1:30pm PST.
- Franklin County (sale Dec 11): Tentative date. Payment in full immediately after the sale, cash or cashier's check; no financing.
- Kitsap County (sale Jan 26): Last day to redeem: Jan 25, 2027.
Before your first Washington sale
Tax deed sales — Washington: the property itself is sold. The balance is usually due within hours or days, the deed usually comes without a title warranty, and whether the former owner can still redeem after the sale depends on the state; in Washington: none after the sale (exception: 3 years for minors and adjudicated incompetents).
