Upcoming Indiana tax sales
Three upcoming Indiana county tax sales are on our calendar, from Tuesday, October 13 to October 27, 2026: three tax lien certificate sales, in three counties.
Each date was read on the county's own page, or the auction platform it links to; every row links to that source and says when we checked it. Confirm there before you register — dates move and lists shrink as owners pay.
Indiana rules in brief
Indiana sells tax sale certificates to the highest bidder above a minimum bid made up of the taxes, penalties and costs (IC 6-1.1-24-5). The owner has one year to redeem and pays 110% of the minimum bid within six months or 115% after that, plus 5% a year on any amount bid above the minimum (IC 6-1.1-25-2). Certificates on parcels nobody bought can be resold by the county at a later certificate sale, with a 120-day redemption period and a 10% return on the certificate price (IC 6-1.1-24-6.1, IC 6-1.1-25-4). Vacant or abandoned parcels certified for sale carry no redemption at all.
The statute, how bidding works and the mistakes that cost new buyers money are in the Indiana guide.

Before your first Indiana sale
Tax lien certificate sales — Indiana: you buy the unpaid tax, not the property. If the owner pays, you get your money back plus the state's rate or penalty; only if nobody redeems within the redemption period can the holder move toward a deed.
Get the final list the week of the sale, register before the county's cut-off, and check the payment form it accepts. Then research the property itself: how to research a property before a tax sale.
